The internship program at Grand Park offers students/recent graduates the opportunity to experience multiple facets of the park’s operation. All interns will have the opportunity to work with a variety of our clients and stakeholders, including: The Indianapolis Colts, Indy Eleven, Indiana Soccer Association, as well as a multitude of other tournament and event owners. Below are the available internships and the number of interns accepted each semester.
Client Services & Events Internship

The Client Services and Events Intern will work directly alongside the Client Services and Events Manager in a one-on-one setting. This internship provides hands-on experience in event development and management, relationship management and operations support. The position offers students/recent graduates the opportunity to work directly with our clients and work through many logistics that coincide with the park’s daily operations. Applicants interested in this position should have a strong passion for events, be very detail-oriented, have strong communication skills and be willing to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
Facility Operations Internship

The Facility Operations intern(s) will have the opportunity to work with the entire operations team. They will gain extensive experience in event set-up, event management, and general park day-to-day upkeep. The position offers students/recent graduates the opportunity to see an entire event through to fruition and allows interns to problem solve along the way. Applicants interested in this position are required to have a valid driver’s license, be willing to work outside in the elements, and be willing to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
Marketing & Business Development Internship

The Marketing and Business Development intern(s) will take on responsibilities such as initial correspondence with inquiring users, facility tours, collecting information for contracting purposes, aid in schedule management, social media management, and helping implement strategies to improve visitor engagement. The position offers students/recent graduates the opportunity to learn and understand practices in awareness campaigns, workflow processes from contract negotiations to event execution, and strategic marketing strategies within the industry of sports business. They will walk away with a strong sense of how business in the sports industry operates, best practices, and an overall in-depth learning experience that can be applied to any career field. Applicants interested in this position should have a strong background in business, marketing, and/or communications with a detail-oriented work ethic.
