WESTFIELD, IN – Starting tomorrow, Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, June 19, Grand Park is the site of the US Youth Soccer Region II Presidents Cup. Indiana Soccer is hosting the US Youth Soccer Region II President Cup games as the second tier event to a national championship title.
“We’re excited to welcome teams from across the Midwest for the Presidents Cup and the Midwest Prospect League Tournament,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “This weekend offers another opportunity to see some of the very best youth soccer and baseball athletes right here in Westfield.”
All participating teams are from the Midwest Region representing their home state in an attempt to succeed at this regional event to advance to the nationals in July. Both boys and girls teams ages U13-U17 will be participating. For more information, please visit www.soccerindiana.org.
Another event taking place this weekend is the second Midwest Prospect League Baseball Tournament featuring 50 teams from across the Midwest. Since its inception, the MPL has quickly established two of the most highly scouted weekends of baseball in the Midwest. It is expected to draw scouts from 60-100 colleges and universities.
