WESTFIELD, IN – This weekend, May 13-15, Indiana Soccer is hosting the preliminary round games for the Indiana Presidents Cup and Challenge Cup at Grand Park. Bracket winners from this weekend will advance to the finals in June. The cup games are held for Indiana Soccer member teams only, both boys and girls teams ages U11-U17. “This will be one of our busiest weekends on the field sports side with the preliminary round games for the Presidents Cup and Challenge Cup,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “We’re also honored to host the GLVC Baseball Championships for the second time as well as the Super Select Baseball Tournament.”
The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Championship Tournament is taking place May 12-15 on D3. Eight teams will vie for the 2016 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the conference at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Participating teams include Southern Indiana, University of Indianapolis, Bellarmine, Illinois Springfield, Missouri S&T, Quincy, Rockhurst and William Jewell. Daily tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children, while kids 5 and-under are free. Youth athletes wearing their team jerseys will be admitted free. Also taking place this weekend is the Bullpen Tournaments Super Select Event featuring 125 teams. Participating teams are from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
