WESTFIELD, IN – Grand Park will host five major events this upcoming Fourth of July weekend (July 1-July 4). Four major tournament events will kick off the weekend. Two of the events will be hosted by Bullpen Tournaments, the Amateur Baseball Championships (ABC) and the Freedom Classic, which will collectively showcase 81 of the nation’s elite baseball teams. The ABCs, which starts on June 30th and carry over the next two following weekends, was specifically designed to benefit the players, parents, coaches, college recruiters and scouts. The Freedom Classic will occur during July 1st-July 2nd, and will continue for the following two weekends.
On June 30th, the PGF Firecracker Classic tournament will begin and is expected to bring over 98 of the nation’s elite softball teams to play in six showcase games, a few being played at the Monon Trail Elementary fields, in single elimination format for top three teams in each pool. Also, June 30th will mark the start of Game Day USA Nationals baseball tournament which features 36 top-tier teams playing in a bracket pool format that includes playoffs. To cap off the weekend, Grand Park will host Westfield Rocks the 4th for the very first time. This Fourth of July, Westfield’s largest annual event will include the biggest firework display in Indiana’s 11-county metropolitan area. This event will feature a Headliner Car Show, Kids Area, live entertainment, a brand new Archery Area and Frank’s Franks Hot Dog Eating Competition.
