WESTFIELD, IN – This weekend, April 22-24 will be Grand Park’s largest attendance to date with 40,000 visitors expected for events at the park, including the Crossroads of America College Soccer Showcase (Girls), Bullpen Spring Shootout and Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Event (EYBL).
“We’re very much looking forward to Grand Park’s largest weekend to date,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “In addition to the large tournaments taking place on the outdoor baseball and soccer fields, we’re excited to welcome many top basketball athletes and college coaches to the NIKE EYBL Event being held at the Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse.”
This is the second weekend of the Crossroads Soccer Showcase, which features divisions for U15-U18 girls’ teams. The showcase includes 290 teams from across the country and brings approximately 22,000 spectators. In addition to the tournament games, there will be two college soccer matches taking place this weekend. Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m. will feature Indiana University vs Miami University of Ohio. Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m. will feature Marian University vs DePauw University. Both games will take place on Field 1.
The Indiana Bulls Spring Shootout Tournament includes 141 teams from five states: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky. The event is designed for 9-14u teams competing in several different divisions for the coveted title of one of the largest youth tournaments held in the Midwest in April.
The NIKE EYBL Session 2 Event features some of the best high school basketball players in the country at Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse. It includes the top 40 under-17 travel basketball programs in the United States and draw high school athletes from up to 27 states, as well as more than 300 NCAA Division I coaches.
