WESTFIELD, IN—This weekend, September 3-4, the Indiana Fire Juniors are hosting the 3rd annual Grand Park Cup Soccer Tournament for youth soccer teams ages U9-U15. The event features 300 teams from six states: Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.
“Our club tournaments continue to grow each year, drawing more players from around the Midwest and beyond,” said WYSA/Indiana Fire Juniors executive director Mark Webber. “We attribute this growth to the precision management and dedication of the IFJ Staff and the world class facility we play in. Visitors consistently rave about the quality of the facility and the surrounding areas.”
The Grand Park Cup is anticipated to result in more than 13,500 visitors, 2,000 hotel stays and an economic impact of more than $1.1 million.
“We’re excited to host the 3nd annual Grand Park Cup soccer tournament. The large number of visitors to our city for an event of this size has a big impact on our local businesses,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook.
Games take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 4th.
