WESTFIELD, IN – More than 400 teams are playing at Grand Park for events this weekend. On the baseball fields, 190 teams from across the country are playing in the Grand Park Frenzy Baseball Tournament, 15U Freedom Classic Baseball Tournament and the 16U division of the Amateur Baseball Championships. Next weekend (June 30-July 3), the Amateur Baseball Championships 14U and 18U events continue with 72 of the nation’s elite teams playing in the overall event. One of the nation’s premier summer events, the Amateur Baseball Championships was specifically designed and detailed to benefit the players, parents, coaches, college recruiters and scouts. Also taking place this weekend is the US Youth Soccer Region II Championships, which continues through Tuesday, June 29. Featuring the top 216 boys and girls US Youth Soccer teams from Region II, the event is expected to provide and estimated economic impact of $9.5 million to the central Indiana region. Local restaurants, hotels, retail stores and others will benefit from the more than 4,000 players, coaches, teams and tournament officials, along with numerous spectators attending the six-day tournament. Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, is a destination like no other.
