WESTFIELD, IN – This year’s Grand Run event held on July 4 raised $2,500 for Wounded Warrior Project. Now in its 4th year, the Grand Run expanded its offerings to include 10K, 15K and 1-mile events in addition to the 5K. Participation exceeded projections topping out at 309 registrants.
“It was wonderful to see so many families participate in this year’s event,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “With this year’s event being held on our nation’s birthday, it was fitting for the beneficiary to be an organization with a tie to patriotism like Wounded Warriors.”
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP connects wounded warriors and their families to valuable resources and one another, serves them through a variety of free programs and services, and empowers them to live life on their own terms.
